Let It Go

In the letter that the Apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in the church at the city of Philippi, called the Book of Philippians, he said, “I’m letting go of the past. I’m moving on with the plan God has for me.” This is the attitude that we must have in order to live a victorious life in Christ. We absolutely cannot allow our past to keep us from moving forward with the plans that the Lord has for us. Many people struggle with their past, their past sins, mistakes and failures. There is no one who has not messed up at least one time or another (Romans 3:23). We, like Paul, must confess all our sins, mistakes and failures to the Father, receive His forgiveness, forgive ourselves, and keep moving forward! Our past can rise up at any moment and haunt us, but we must put it out of our mind and keep moving forward! Satan is very clever about bringing up our past to our mind and trying to discourage us and defeat us. Remember, the past is in the past! We cannot go back into our past and change anything we have said or done! We must let our past go! Let go of it! Don’t allow your past to influence today or tomorrow! Let go of your past, put it in God’s hands and keep moving forward!!!
