UNTIL: There will always be an “until” in all of our lives! Everything can be going great, it seems, “until!” Everything seemed to be going well one evening “until” I got that phone call! “This is the Nixa Police Department. Is this Mr Graham? Yes. We need you to come to the scene of an accident on highway 14 just East of town. Your son, Matt, has been involved in an auto accident with three other boys. Is he okay? I’m sorry but we are not at liberty to disclose that information. Please come now and drive carefully.” When I arrived, I discovered that Matt had some bruises and a fractured jaw. But, one of the boys, Matt’s best friend, died at the scene in Matt’s arms! You see, life can be going well “until!” Maybe you can identify with me. This is life! A husband comes home from work one day to find an empty house and a not from his wife of 23 years saying, “I’m sorry, I have found someone else!” A happily married couple finds out that the wife has breast cancer! A young couple has a baby, but it only lives three days! On Facebook you see photos of people smiling, laughing and enjoying life! But, there will be an “until!” They just don’t know it yet! You can’t always prepare yourself for “until!” It can happen so fast and seemingly come out of nowhere! When “until” occurs, you do what you’ve always done, you turn to God! Only God can help us when “until” happens! By the way, I prayed for my son, Matt, in the ER that night! Jesus healed his jaw instantly! He’s 44 now and hasn’t had a problem with it since! The young boy who died at the scene of the accident, his parents divorced! Until happens! And, when it does, God is our only hope!!!
